AI platforms are already selling products. When someone asks ChatGPT for a moisturizer recommendation or Gemini for the best retinol serum, they get an answer and often a purchase path. But most brands have no visibility into what AI tells customers about them, whether the information is accurate, or whether the buy button actually works.

That's the problem. Not "AI is coming." AI is here. It's making purchase recommendations right now, and most brands have no idea what it's saying.

searchshop.ai is a managed service with real engineering behind it. We run a deterministic scoring engine, not another LLM wrapper. When we tell you a product is safe for sensitive skin or that two ingredients shouldn't be layered together, that answer comes from verified data in our ingredient ledger, not from a language model guessing.

We're currently focused on beauty and skincare because that's where our first clients are and where ingredient safety makes the stakes real. But the architecture is domain-agnostic. The same engine that scores skincare compatibility can score supplement interactions, device compatibility, or food allergens. We built it that way on purpose.

What we believe

AI agents will commoditize the transaction. Every checkout will look the same. The thing that matters is discovery: which products get recommended, and whether the information behind that recommendation is correct.

Brands need to control how AI represents their products. Right now most are hoping for the best, and the ones who aren't are usually paying someone to write SEO-style content and calling it "AI optimization." That doesn't work. AI platforms pull from structured data, product feeds, and protocol-level integrations. You need to be wired in, not just writing blog posts.

We'd rather give a correct answer slowly than a wrong answer fast. There's no LLM in our recommendation loop. Every scoring decision is deterministic and traceable. You can ask why a product scored the way it did and get a real answer, not a probability distribution.

How we're different

Most companies in this space do one of two things: monitor what AI says about your brand, or put an AI chatbot on your website. We do neither of those as the primary product.

SearchShopAI defines when AI agents are allowed to recommend, sell, or escalate your products. The scoring engine is deterministic. No language model in the recommendation loop. When an AI platform asks "should this customer buy this product?", our engine computes the answer from verified catalog data and your rules instead of generating one from a language model.
